Before reviewing Belle Refresh (the name of this update) clarify certain points. The first is that it is not Belle FP1. If certain elements are common, it is by no means a Feature Pack. I recall that the Feature Pack, they bring new, mostly there to replace elements with S60 Belle writings by members of Qt Quick (the "meegoification"). The first generation devices do not have the resources to collect the change. Therefore Belle Refresh is a simple update Beautiful as it is known since February 2012 on our first generation devices. So all interface elements are the same Belle (notification bar, popup menus, theme effect, keyboard, text selection, etc ...).
Secondly remember that some applications such as Maps (version 3.09 comes with Maps Suite 2), or Social Office (version 1.5) are updated separately and were already available before Belle Refresh. Therefore I will put it not in this article.
This in mind, the list of changes is reduced to a few final elements, which is why this update makes only 12 MB
As usual each update brings a new batch of widgets. Refresh your device with Beautiful first generation will be completely up to date. I refer you to the article Beautiful FP1: Round 2 for the complete list. In addition to this refresh adds new widgets:
- A new digital horlogue called "flip flap"
- Clock "text" but in English only useless for us
- A widget for notes, practice and synchronized with the application of the same name. It is possible to move from one note to another by swiping the screen vertically.
It may seem like that but Belle was so "late" at this level in the end it is more than 3 new widgets that retrieve the first generation devices. Unlike FP1, Refresh comes with the latest version of the weather widget (the night there is the Moon). I read on the net was apparently the only photo widget for N8. With no other device I can not confirm this information. Do not hesitate to tell us in the comments if you have or not this widget on my E7 for example.
